Gledis Gjipali, the Executive Director of EMA and an expert in European Integration, was invited to speak on Euronews about the findings of the most recent report published by the European Commission regarding the enlargement package and the corresponding progress made by the prospective EU member states on their compliance with EU legislation. He noted that while Albania has made progress in practically every cluster and chapter and that the report overall was favorable, the EU agenda’s top priorities will continue to be anti-corruption and judicial reforms. It is also critical to highlight that no regress occurred in every cluster. When comparing the reports with the other Western Balkan countries, Gjipali stated that Albania has defined the standard and this assessment is significant in reference to a country preparing for EU negotiations.
