EMA has the pleasure to share with you the study "Impact of visa-free travel on people’s mobility" carried out in the framework of the project “Exploring the Impact of visa liberalisation on people’s mobility” supported by Balkan Trust for Democracy, German Marshall Fund. The nationwide survey implemented during November - December 2011 was conducted in cooperation with the Institute
for Research Studies Barleti.


This study by analyzing of data gathered by a field research tries to answer question such as:


    * What will follow after visa liberalization in Albania in terms of people mobility?
    * Will Albania face a new wave of migration or increase in migration flows?
    * What demographic and social characteristics migratory flows will be composed of?


 In this ambit, EMA aims thorough this study to shed light on the effect of visa liberalization on people mobility, expected outflow of people and its effects on the labour market and remittances.
