Few days before the decision of the Council of Ministers of the EU on visa liberalisation with Albania and Bosnia Herzegovina, European Movement Albania (EMA) has the pleasure to share with you the "Monitoring Report on the Visa Liberalisation Process with Albania - The End and the Beginning" on the last reform steps undertaken by the Albanian institutions that convinced the European Commission to propose amending the Schengen Regulation and the European Parliament to vote largely in favour of this proposal. This monitoring report is prepared in the framework of the OSFA funded project "Visa Liberalization Process with Albania: How to make it a success story".
The monitoring report analyzes the evolution of the process focusing in particular on three outstanding benchmarks of the Roadmap. Through this document EMA aims to identify the best experiences and to encourage state and non state actors to keep the pace of reforms. Lessons learnt from the Visa Liberalization Process should be used in the framework of the democratization of the country as well as to this crucial process for Albania such as European Integration. The key findings of the monitoring report were presented during the conference "MEP Tanja Fajon meets Albanian Students and Civil Society" organized by EMA on 23 October 2010.
Please find attached the "Monitoring Report on the Visa Liberalization Process with Albania - The end and the beginning" as well as the relevant Memo which synthesises key findings and recommendations in English language.
