MCN TV – The EU agreement on migration/ Deliu: The pact aims general rules that will be respected by all EU countries, 24 December 2023

Regarding the recent events in the European Union on the topic of immigration, the EU integration expert Nirvana Deliu, invited to MCN TV, said that the agreement reached between the European Commission, the European Council and the European Parliament will bring new developments. Deliu emphasised that this agreement aims to reform unified rules and procedures for all EU countries. In this agreement which was politically adopted, but is expected to be formally approved in 2024, Deliu to reach this conclusion, it took a lot of time and effort, highlighting the main areas discussed as: management of immigration, asylum, borders and acceptance of foreign individuals that enter the EU Member States, while special attention has also been given to the solidarity mechanism.
