Ora News – Deliu: Gradual integration is linked to the process the EU aims for candidate countries, 17 December 2025

Invited to Ora News, Nirvana Deliu, Expert on the European integration process at the European Movement in Albania (EMA), briefly spoke about this process. Deliu emphasized the importance of gradual integration, which helps candidate countries begin to experience the effects and impacts that will occur once they become part of the European Union. Several initiatives have been undertaken to ensure that Western Balkan countries are prepared and can participate in certain processes even though they are not yet EU member states. In conclusion, Deliu cited the Berlin Process as an example, which aims to create an internal market for Western Balkan countries based on the four freedoms of movement of the EU.
