Forum: The process of EU Integration and its impact on economy and trade in Albania

On March 7, 2014, European Movement in Albania in collaboration with Ministry of European Integration and University Marin Barleti organized the round table “The process of EU Integration and its impact on economy and trade in Albania”.The welcome speech was delivered by the Rector of University of Barleti, Prof. Dr. Marenglen Spiro, who thanked the participants and the work done by EMA.

The honored guest Mr. Gentian Elezi, Deputy Minister of Integration presented the work and the Ministry’s objectives in relation to European integration, giving emphasis on the review of National Integration Plan and the active role that civil society should have in the integration process.Mr. Dorian Jano, Researcher at EMA referred the progress of the Enlargement Policy and its impact on Albania.Mr. Gledis Gjipali, Executive Director of EMA presented the findings of EMA’s study about the four freedoms, as the foundation of free trade in the EU and their impact on interest groups.

 During the presentations there were discussions and questioned by academics and civil society representatives.
