Klan News – Political debate, the European Parliament’s report, 7 May 2026
On the national television channel Klan News, the Executive Director of the European Movement in Albania, Mr. Gledis Gjipali, was invited to discuss the report drafted by the European Parliament, explaining that this routine report for the 2023–2024 period, emphasizes the key issues of Albania’s integration process. He highlighted that the country has achieved progress in matters related to the legal system, as well as in the faster opening of negotiation chapters, but there are still issues that need to be addressed as soon as possible in order to achieve the targets set for membership.
Gjipali also stressed that this report does not directly address the latest developments, especially regarding the IBAR report, which is expected to receive a positive response in order to continue with the closing of other chapters. Nevertheless, the report places emphasis on the speed of reforms and their quality.
