Conference: Just BE

On March 25, 2013, the EU Delegation to Albania organized “Just BE”, a conference to launch its new portal and social media pages. The guest speakers in the conference were : Mr. Stefan Fule, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, Mr. Eduard Kukan, Chair of the European Parliament Delegation for relations with Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo, Ambassador Mr. Ettore Sequi, Head of Delegation of the EU in Albania, Mr.Igli Totozani, Ombudsman, Mr. Artan Hoxha, Chair, Institute for Contemporary Studies, Mr. Gjergji Vurmo, Director, Institute for Democracy and Mediation, Mr.Gledis Gjipali, Executive Director, European Movement Albania. In his word, Mr. Gjipali stressed the importance of developing a sense of ownership of the European integration process in the Albanian society.
The conference brought together civil society representatives and media to discuss how citizens can be brought closer to the work of EU institutions.
