EuroNews Albania: Merkel’s visit was symbolic

On September 15, 2021 the Executive Director of EMA, Mr. Gledis Gjipali was invited to EuroNews Albania to briefly address the visit of German Chancellor Merkel in Tirana. He stated that this was a farewell visit and no new initiatives were expected. Gjipali pointed out the chancellor’s message regarding the continuation of reforms undertaken by the Western Balkan countries on the road towards EU. He added that these countries should not hinder each other’s efforts.
