Report TV – Gjipali: Changing veto policies, preventing bilateral disputes, 14 December 2023

Gledis Gjipali, the Executive Director of EMA, was invited to Report TV to discuss the blocking of Albanian integration process by Greece, and he stated that Greece could not maintain its vetoes indefinitely without providing a valid cause. In a similar vein, the support provided by other nations, amongst them even Germany, oppose this stand. Changing veto policies and preventing bilateral disputes from impeding a state’s integration process are two ideas that have been proposed. Gledis added that the roadmaps that have already been developed might be discussed in the Intergovernmental Conference.
