RTSH – Gjipali: Letter from European ministers: MEPs should approve the Growth Plan for the Balkans, 1 March 2024

The expert on integration issues, Gledis Gjipali, was invited by RTSH to share his views regarding the letter of the seven ministers of foreign affairs and European affairs from EU member states. Among the ministers, Greece’s Foreign Minister, urged European institutions to speed up the the discussions on approving the financial mechanism for the Growth Plan in the Western Balkans. Gjipali clarified that currently the regulation of the Growth Plan is being discussed, and it has gained support from the European Parliament, indicating a swift approval process. Additionally, Gjipali emphasized that a change is required in the EU budget, which is again expected to come from the European Parliament.
