News 24 / Real Story: Does EU still provide a guarantee for the Balkan countries to become part of the Union?

EMA’s Executive Director Gledis Gjipali was on “Real Story” to comment the article “Reuters” published stating that European Union does not guarantee the countries of the Western Balkans that one day they will join the Union. He said that this statement is not fatal as the integration process continues but clarified that recently EU has been more focused on the economic aspect than the political dimension of the integration. Moreover, Gjipali interpreted the idea of Emanuel Macron regarding a two-circle integration process considering it a disturbing alternative. He also analyzed the position of France and Germany saying that even after Merkel’s exit, Germany continues to have greater influence in several directions.
