Gledis Gjipali, Executive Director of the European Movement in Albania (EMA), during an interview on Ora News’s program “Ora e Betit” with journalist Beti Njuma, commented on several developments related to Albania-EU negotiations. He first described this year’s Report as positive, due to the opening of 5 out of 6 cluster chapters. However, he noted that it will be challenging to close all clusters and their constituent chapters by the end of 2027, given the current pace of reforms. In conclusion, Gjipali emphasized that Albania still needs to work on improving both the quality and speed of reforms in order to achieve the set objectives. To this end, strengthening and preparing the capacities of the public administration is also critically important.
