Top Channel: Will visas be re-imposed? Germany puts Albania back on the list of problematic countries

Germany has delivered a document to the European Commission regarding the high number of asylum seekers and crimes committed by foreigners, where Albania is amongst the most problematic ones. Gledis Gjipali, EMA’s Executive Director was on Top Channel to give his remarks on the risks posed by such verdicts and pointed out that a report may include several countries but punitive measures are taken individually. Regarding the possibility to reinstate visa controls for Albanians, Gjipali said a 9-month visa suspension mechanism can be implemented based on legally supported requests.
