RTSH 1 – Gjipali: Greece cannot impose this stand for very long, 13 December 2023

Integration expert Gledis Gjipali was invited to RTSH to discuss the current developments from the Summit held on December 13^th, in which discussed the progress made in the integration process of the six Western Balkan countries, as well as the current state of relations between Albania and Greece, Albania and North Macedonia, and Russo-Ukrainian tension was also brought to attention. In this vein, the expert claims that Greece is actually unable to maintain this stand for very long, while North Macedonia’s advancement indicates that major steps towards European integration are being done. On the other hand, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has caused disruption because we have now two open fronts for membership. Among other things, Gledis highlighted that we have solid premises following the European Commission’s positive recommendation.
